HIV/AIDS remains one of Kenya’s most serious health challenges with major impact on our Social and Economic development. In response to these challenges, the University of Nairobi is committed to imparting students with HIV&AIDS knowledge and skills to enable them develop appropriate strategies aimed at HIV & AIDS prevention and control.

Areas covered in the course include: Biology and Epidemiology of HIV&AIDS, Prevention and Control of HIV infection, Management of HIV and Related Infections, Sex and Sexuality, Communicable diseases, Legal and Ethical Issues in HIV&AIDS, HIV&AIDS as a National Disaster, and recent advances and challenges in HIV&AIDS.
